For a multilevel and participatory governance of nautical tourism in Mediterranean coastal areas. In the Mediterranean, nautical tourism is a rapidly expanding component of the coastal tourism system, capable of reshaping the spaces affected by recreational boating and the balance between environment, economy, and society. This evolution calls for a critical rethinking of planning and management models for coastal areas of tourist interest, increasingly confronted with sustainability challenges, ecological transition, and digitalisation. This article proposes an integrated and adaptive approach based on data-driven models and multilevel cooperation, enhancing the synergies between environmental monitoring tools, technological innovation, and the participation of coastal communities. The aim is to outline a strategic perspective for the sustainable management of Mediterranean coastal areas, balancing the protection of marine ecosystems, territorial competitiveness, and the quality of the tourist experience.

Abstract
The aim is to outline a strategic perspective for the sustainable management of Mediterranean coastal areas, balancing the protection of marine ecosystems, territorial competitiveness, and the quality of the tourist experience.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
