The aeroelastic modes of the plate in a linear compressible potential flow have been evaluated by means of the use of a commercial finite element code employing an unsteady lifting surface procedure in order to investigate the acoustic radiation. The aerodynamic unsteady loads served to generate the aeroelastic modal analysis so that the wetted mode shapes of the plate can be used to evaluate the acoustic modal radiation efficiency. The results are thus compared with the no-flow condition showing that the level of acoustic radiation as function of the frequency is generally higher when the coupling with the air flow is considered in the plate-vibration modelling.

Abstract
The aeroelastic modes of the plate in a linear compressible potential flow have been evaluated by means of the use of a commercial finite element code employing an unsteady lifting surface procedure in order to investigate the acoustic radiation. The aerodynamic unsteady loads served to generate the aeroelastic modal analysis so that the wetted mode shapes of the plate can be used to evaluate the acoustic modal radiation efficiency. The results are thus compared with the no-flow condition showing that the level of acoustic radiation as function of the frequency is generally higher when the coupling with the air flow is considered in the plate-vibration modelling.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
