Abstract
The effect of Li, K, Ca, Ba, Mg, and Y substitutions in a Na2O.2SiO2 glass on the glass transition temp. (Tg) were investigated and the results compared with those obtained from mixed Li-Ca, Li-Ba, and Li-Y disilicate glasses. Hypotheses to explain the change of Tg with compn. are given. Linear trends correspond to high ratio of the ionic field strengths of the cations, nonlinear trends without min. correspond to comparable field strengths, and min. are present on the curves when the ionic field strength ratio is much less than 1.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
