During a ten years field survey the distribution of 50 entities belonging to Orchidaceae family in the Roccamonfina-Foce Garigliano Regional Park and its surroundings has been recorded. Several entities are very widespread in the area but the highest richness occurs in chestnut orchards, underlying the important role played by this well represented habitat for the conservation of biodiversity of the whole Park.
