The aim of this study was to detect the presence of active ingredients in aqueous extract of Hedera helix L. obtained with a new solid-liquid extraction technique, the Extractor Naviglio, in order to highlight the compounds responsible for the pharmacological features and for use as a nutraceutical. It has been highlighted the presence of flavonoids, protein, amino acids, substances of high biological value and small amounts of triterpenoid saponins which currently are assigned the pharmacological properties, even if not devoid of side undesirable effects.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to detect the presence of active ingredients in aqueous extract of Hedera helix L. obtained with a new solid-liquid extraction technique, the Extractor Naviglio, in order to highlight the compounds responsible for the pharmacological features and for use as a nutraceutical. It has been highlighted the presence of flavonoids, protein, amino acids, substances of high biological value and small amounts of triterpenoid saponins which currently are assigned the pharmacological properties, even if not devoid of side undesirable effects.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
