L'Africa potenza economica mondiale nel 2050?

This paper focuses on Africa’s role in the global economic and political scenario and its future perspectives as the possible world driving force. Notwithstanding reproachful present political and social conditions, Africa might also promote and implement a general revitalization process aimed at having political leaders capable of solving conflicts and still achieving the Millennium Objectives. Africa already made a clear and noticeable progress and gained a record economic growth in recent years to the point of being considered "a land of opportunity". Even though the world economic crisis of 2008 had negative and direct effects on its economy, a general optimism based on the actual natural and human resources of the Continent might still support a solid and balanced economic development. Africa’s political, social and economic future is in the hands of the African people, once they achieve self-awareness of their important role in the world.
