The article offers a critical interpretation of a Latin annotation found in the margins of PRyl. III 477, fragment from a bifolium of a Late Antique papyrus codex containing Cicero's Divinatio in Caecilium. Similarities with ancient commentaries are explored and a linguistic analysis of the occurrence of the word 'petae' is given.
