In all the world road transport contribute significantly to air polluting emissions. In order to estimate the emission inventory from this sector in Campania (Italy), in this study the COPERT methodology was employed with a bottom-up approach, focusing at regional level instead of national, then including local parameters relating to vehicular fleet, driving pattern, fuel consumption, and by using experimental two-wheeler emission factors. For this reason an experimental activity was conducted; information on the emissions of in-use 2-wheelers were collected during both Type Approval and real driving test cycle, in cold and hot conditions, contributing to expand understanding of 2-wheel vehicles emission behavior, and their emission factors database. This study identified the local critical factors that most affect air quality in urban context, then it can assist decisions made by air quality management agencies and transportation planners.

Abstract
This study identified the local critical factors that most affect air quality in urban context, then it can assist decisions made by air quality management agencies and transportation planners.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
