THE WORK DISCUSSES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AN EUROPEAN PROJECT, INSTALL (INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO ACQUIRE LEARNING TO LEARN) AIMED AT PROMOTING THE KEY COMPETENCE OF LEARNING TO LEARN WITH UNDERACHIEVERS STUDENTS LAGGING BEHIND WITH THEIR STUDIES. TRAINING ADOPTED A NARRATIVE MULTIMODAL METHODOLOGY, THE NARRATIVE MEDIATION PATH, WHICH COMBINES IN AN UNIQUE METHODOLOGY FOUR NARRATIVE MODES AND MEDIA. RESULTS SHOW AN IMPROVEMENT OF REFLEXIVE COMPETENCE OF MENTALIZATION FOR STUDENTS WHO PARTECIPATED TO THE TRAINING NARRATIVE PATHS.
