The increasing and urgent demand for clean water requires new approaches for identifying possible contaminants. In the present work, silver-embedded polymer substrates are employed for revealing the presence of traces of nitroaromatic compounds in water, on the basis of the SERS (surface-enhanced Raman scattering) effect. These platforms provide an easy and sensitive detection of these organic pollutants with low concentrations in contaminated water.

Abstract
The increasing and urgent demand for clean water requires new approaches for identifying possible contaminants. In the present work, silver-embedded polymer substrates are employed for revealing the presence of traces of nitroaromatic compounds in water, on the basis of the SERS (surface-enhanced Raman scattering) effect. These platforms provide an easy and sensitive detection of these organic pollutants with low concentrations in contaminated water.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
