This article examines the role of labour law in regulating competition among undertakings and competition among workers, moving from relevant provisions of European Union rules on State aid as a reference framework. The first part outlines the changes occurred in European legal context with regard both to economic matters in general and in particular to State aid regulations. The second part looks at the new GBER (General Block Exemption Regulation) No 651/2014 considering the modifications regarding State aid for employment. The analysis of the new provisions reveals that social values involved in State aid regulation can be evaluated as one of the most important aspects (it suffice to say that the aid for compensating the costs of assistance to disadvantaged workers underpins the objective of active social inclusion). Finally it fo cuses on labour law boundaries, from a systemic perspective, and it underlines more specifically its updated objective of regulating competition among undertakings and competition among workers.

Abstract
Finally it fo cuses on labour law boundaries, from a systemic perspective, and it underlines more specifically its updated objective of regulating competition among undertakings and competition among workers.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
