Increased occupational use of computers has prompted scientists to study the possibility of health risks. Video-terminals make use of CRT and LCD technology. The aim of this study was to assess the intensity of low and medium frequency electromagnetic fields emitted by CRT and LCD VDTs. Our results indicate that LCD units generate lower magnetic induction than CRT models. However, these disagree with findings related to the intensity of the electric field generated by LCDs
