This paper considers the role played by the order of magnitude of terms involved in the equations of motion of a geometrically exact beam theory. Upon introducing a smallness parameter, a procedure for derivation of approximated models is sketched.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
