Valorisation actions against abandonment of minor historical centers of Cilento

Subject of the contribution are the strategies for the recovery of the historic centers of the towns belonging to the Cilento territory, a marginal area of the Campania Region on the border of Basilicata and Calabria Regions. The historical centers that characterize the towns of this territorial area although not important in terms of architectural history , retain - their uniqueness ( 1 ) - an undisputed environmental value and witnesses; they are called "dust-towns", often they are mountainous and characterized by a progressive depopulation and abandonment , particularly disturbing when analyzed and compared to the impressive growth of the elderly persons - the population that normally resides there .
