Job satisfaction is a positive emotional state resulting from a person's appreciation of his/her own job or experience. The article reports on a study that examined job satisfaction among secondary school teachers in the province of Naples. Low job satisfaction has been cited as a possible cause of the current teaching crisis in Italy, it is positively correlated to work performance, it is also an indicator of the manager's ability to create a good working environment, which is the basis for a good functioning school. It is expected that a school which has teachers with high level of job satisfaction gives qualified education and brings up successful students. The tool used to collect data is a sampling survey by administering a structured questionnaire in sections using point Likert-Type scale. The results will be analyzed in overall form and in relation to particular stratified groups with respect to demographic and professional variables.
