By interweaving three theoretical devices (Matthew Lipman and Ann Sharp's Philosophy for Children, David Hansen's educational cosmospolitanism and Fornet Betancourt's hermeneutics of the stranger), this paper advocates philosophical inquiry with children in a cosmopolitan vein as a most promising pedagogical strategy to equip students with the habits of mind necessary in contemporaary intercultural scenarios.
