La ricerca e la didattica del Disegno. Una esperienza in itinere sulla città di Napoli

The research work of Naples in axonometric projection to which reference is made is the result of a complex operation of survey and representation which, starting with didactical principles and trials, has found its skills and mode of expression in a dense esplorative and restitutive process of the architectures in the city and its forma urbis. The view of Naples in axonometric projection has enabled to proceed with the double interrelated reading of the city: on one hand it reiterated the belief that representing a city means establishing a close web of relations between all its parts and elements which fulfil the reality of the individual parties; on the other one, an interpretative and explanatory code which, investing the complexity of the reality, has returned a traslation based on the recognition which, eventually, is projected into the comunication, was established. The purpose of this research on survey and representation of the city of Naples started from the observation that it can be added more levels of knowledge and discretization of knowledge of the urban continuum with the aim of defining innovative modes and models of representation of the city. The investigation fields have been synchronously redesigned through a recalibration of the levels of sign synthesis and the multipli city of the results placed in the evidence of the infinite representations that will result from the control and management of the three-dimensional model. Thus the image of the city of Naples, fixed and blocked by the axonometric projection, has lost the one-way projection and has acquired not only infinite directions but also the possibility of disassociating layers of the city, making deep incisions which reveal, through calibrated radiographs setting on stringent vertical plans, all the density of the well-established city, and activating dynamic connections with the iconographic apparatuses which preserve and attest its historic development.
