Puntualizzazione sul concetto di "dominium" in Suárez

This article reconstructs the theme of the dominium in Francisco Suárez, trying to highlight the coherence of the juridical-political vision within his enormous work. Recovering the Romanist traditions of mancipium and the Medieval tradition of dominium utile, Suárez defines the dominium as principale ius disponendi de re aliqua in quemcumque usum lege non prohibitum (De Virtute et Statu Religionis, liber VIII, cap. V). The clarification of such theme is functional to understanding the concept of dominium that belongs to the State.
