Abstract

A predictive torque and flux control in the constant torque region and in the field-weakening one of Permanent Magnet AC machines fed by VSI, is described in this paper. It is based on the step by step determination of the inverter feeding voltage as function of the current references, by taking into account both the steady state and the transient electrical constraints. Experimental results confirm the validity of the proposed approach and the possibility of achieving very good dynamic performances.
