Abstract
This paper described the outcomes of the technical-scientific consulting activity carried out by the Department of Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering (DICEA) to defining Municipal Master Plan of Boscoreale in the Campania Region (South of Italy). The Boscoreale case study is significant because is located on the slopes of Vesuvius, in an area with a great potential touristic, but it is compromised in terms of urban, landscape and environmental planning, with strong risks deriving not only from the volcano but also from the pollution and the hydrogeological phenomena. This work, according with the National and regional planning laws, is based on the international sustainable development strategy that considers fundamental for the future territorial transformative actions the preservation of all available resources (natural and man-made) and improvement of quality of life. The proposed methodology used is aimed at supporting the planning decision-making process of the municipal authorities in the division of the municipal territory into homogeneous urban areas to defining the compatible transformations for each area. The paper is articulated in four parts: Introduction; Case Study of Boscoreale municipality, proposed Methodology; Application at the case study; and the Conclusions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
