Le français entre ici et là-bas. Représentations linguistiques de la communauté africaine subsaharienne francophone de Naples et de Castel Volturno

In this study, the representations that French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africans make of French are put into relation, on the one hand, to urban and ethnicization contexts (Naples vs Castel Volturno) and, on the other hand, to the “back and forth” practice between homeland and host countries. The representations that have been noted testify to the importance given to French in inter/intra-ethnic exchanges and as a language that can facilitate the learning/acquisition of Italian. The role that French takes on alongside Italian, national languages, and English encourages us to better assess the impact of Francophonie in the Parthenopean/Campanian milieu.
