In the framework of the minority language historical communities, particularly in those small isolated and “roofless” communities, any neological initiative, either “bottom up” or institutionalized, proves to be particularly delicate. In this paper we will focus on a well circumscribed case study: it involves the Franco-Provençal language of Apulia, a Romance linguistic variety of Alpine origin located in the South of Italy from the 13th century and still spoken.

Abstract
In the framework of the minority language historical communities, particularly in those small isolated and “roofless” communities, any neological initiative, either “bottom up” or institutionalized, proves to be particularly delicate. In this paper we will focus on a well circumscribed case study: it involves the Franco-Provençal language of Apulia, a Romance linguistic variety of Alpine origin located in the South of Italy from the 13th century and still spoken.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
