The aim of this study is to examine the war metaphors linked to the description of Covid-19, metaphors which, at the time of the maximum deflagration of the coronavirus in France, appear as a constant in the account of events in the articles by journalists from beyond the Alps. Most of our daily conversations are woven of metaphors that are mainly related to the concept of war. This is certainly true in the case of the coronavirus, whether it is recounted by television reporters or described by those in the press.
