Il lavoro nella platform society: algoritmi, sorveglianza e la sfida dell’università

This article explores the issue of labor in the platform society. Referring to and engaging with the most prominent critical and analytical literature, the article wants to offer a comprehensive perspective able to account for the complexity and heterogeneity of the phenomenon, understood as a socio-technical ecosystem in which economic, legal, cultural and technological issues interact. At this aim, the paper proposes to articulate the concept of work in the platform society in four ways: work for the platforms, work with the platforms, work on the platforms and work of the platforms. In the conclusions it is argued that those four modalities are ever more identifiable in the sphere of public institutions, especially in that of university and research.
