Many architectural styles that characterize the modern city are complex organisms from the historical and the structural points of view, which often hide perceptive fascinations, artistic and cultural treasures in the discovery of which the observer must be aided on the path constantly enriched by seduction. The problem, therefore, is in pointing the path, overcoming the material and perceptive limits, evoking surprises, and actually providing the key to opening the safe in which the material and the immaterial treasures are locked. To bring this idea to life, descriptive and communication efforts come to aid, critically supported by new data harvesting technologies, aimed at sharing the knowledge. The present work deals precisely with this area and, though synthetically, it aims at analyzing, with different expressive strategies, the character of the built units that currently constitute the complex organism that is used by and is the central headquarters of the Naples Università degli Studi Federico II.
