The demand for flexibility and the need for fast change, dictated by the evolution of competitiveness in the industrial sector and the drive towards digital transformation and Industry 4.0, pushes the use of useful tools to face the challenges of digitization, especially in response to the imposed issues. from the 2030 Agenda and its objective 9 (Businesses, innovation and infrastructures). In this perspective, support to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector becomes crucial, still characterized by a scarce smart-oriented attitude in the management of productive assets. This applied research work fits with this objective, in partnership with a company in the Campania region (Italy), to experiment with an existing Building Information Modeling (e-BIM) methodological approach to respond to requests for integration and sharing of information. multidisciplinary, according to an approach for an intelligent, and sustainable management of industrial processes.
