L’attività edilizia della Ricostruzione del secondo dopoguerra ha offerto un’occasione lavorativa irripetibile per una classe di tecnici – architetti, ingegneri, geometri – in riorganizzazione professionale. In tale quadro, il piano INA-Casa (1949-1963) ha contribuito con la formazione del proprio albo di progettisti e collaudatori, accademici e liberi professionisti, alla costruzione di nuovi brani di città, gettando le basi per uno sviluppo urbanistico talvolta ponderato e altre volte poco lungimirante. L’indagine qui presentata verte sul ruolo del programma nella formazione delle carriere dei professionisti che con il proprio lavoro hanno partecipato all’immagine odierna delle città italiane; figure e opere che, tuttavia, risultano ancora assenti dalla storiografia consolidata sul tema. The building activity of the Second Post-War Era gave once-in-a-lifetime job opportunities for the class of technicians – architects, engeneers, surveyors – in professional reorganisation. Within this framework, the INA-Casa plan (1949-1963) contributed with the formation of its own register of designers and testers, academic ones and freelancers, to the construction of new parts of the cities, laying the foundations for the urban development, both sometimes thoughtful and other times shortsighted. This paper investigates the role played by the plan in the formation of the careers of those freelancers who with their projects participated to the current shape of the Italian cities; figures and works which, nonetheless, are yet to be considered by the consolidated historiography about the topic.
