When the network captures the regime. Assessing the role of the social networks in the Euromaidan protests in Kiev, in the press and in the Ukrainian social research

The images of the Euromaidan protests in Kiev have gone worldwide. Arose between November 2013 and February 2014, the protests led to the deposition and incrimination of the then president Viktor Yanukovic with the resulting formation of a caretaker government in charge of holding the early elections. In the light of these new events, the Crimean government, reluctant to accept the new administration, declared its willingness to separate from Ukraine, which inevitably triggered the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
