Four new macrolides (7-10), structurally related to known sphinxolides (1-4) and reidispongiolides (5-6), have been isolated following a reinvestigation of Neosiphonia superstes and Reidispongia coerulea, two Lithistida sponges collected in the deep waters off New Caledonia. In this paper we report their structure elucidation based on spectral data (mainly 2D-NMR and MS) as well as their cytotoxicity determined on a panel of 60 human cancer cell lines.

Abstract
Four new macrolides (7-10), structurally related to known sphinxolides (1-4) and reidispongiolides (5-6), have been isolated following a reinvestigation of Neosiphonia superstes and Reidispongia coerulea, two Lithistida sponges collected in the deep waters off New Caledonia. In this paper we report their structure elucidation based on spectral data (mainly 2D-NMR and MS) as well as their cytotoxicity determined on a panel of 60 human cancer cell lines.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
