European cultural heritage plays an increasing role in becoming both a social, cultural and economic development tool, as well as a tool for cohesion and identification. The most current digital technologies significantly contribute to this process, concerning to the dissemination and enhancement of the heritage itself. It is important to reflect on the many aspects related to this phenomenon, which has implications for the way of fruition, inclusive processes, cultural policies, the development of new professionalism and the different role that places of conservation and enjoyment of culture take on social life. To this complex scenario was devoted the day of studies “Digitization, cultural heritage, creativity, European identity”, held in Naples on May 10, promoted by Centro Europe Direct of the LUPT “Maria Scognamiglio” of the Università degli Studi “Federico II”
