The research project aims to investigate the potential of some “specialized” areas, the areas of hospital structures, which have a very high degree of transformability, especially related to a different and healthy use of the city itself. Urban health shifts the focus from a human- based medical model to a social model, which considers health resulting from socio-economic, cultural, and environmental factors. The goal is to investigate the strategic potential of hospital spaces, to give back to the city and citizens denied pieces of territory, believing that the humanization of hospitals passes through the abandonment of isolation as a protective but alienating condition and in a different conception of hospitalization, through a path of hybridization and reconnection between spaces, enhancing their adaptability. Identifying new planning strategies for the city means building a system of healthy living, of which urban and environmental policies that work on strategic systems of transport, greenery and sport are an active part.

Abstract
Identifying new planning strategies for the city means building a system of healthy living, of which urban and environmental policies that work on strategic systems of transport, greenery and sport are an active part.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
