The main goal of the following abstract is to present the way in which, during the process of acquisition of the Italian language as L2 by immigrants resident in the territory of Campania and belonging to the "critical period", the L1 of the subjects in question, the Ukrainian and the Romanian, can affect generating transfer phenomena. Campania is in first place in the so-called "Mezzogiorno" for the presence of foreigners resident in the region, showing, in the first two positions of the countries of origin, Ukraine (15.8% of the total foreigners) and Romania (13.9%): in thus the Ukrainian and Romanian languages have become part of the cultural and linguistic heritage of the territory. Although studies have shown that learners with different L1 all follow the same path in the acquisition of language structures, the influence of the mother tongue on language production in L2 is undeniable. Despite the name, however, this phenomenon does not consist only in a transfer of elements of the L1 in the L2, and it can also happen from an L2 already learned to one you are learning. Selinker defines it as "a whole class of behaviors, processes and conditionings, each of which has a dealing with translinguistic influence and contributes to the construction of the interlingual". The transfer can take place at all linguistic levels: phonology (intonation, rhythm, accentuation of the phrase), lexicon and syntax (the so-called "false friends" and phrases that reflect the syntax of L1), morphology and speech, however, in relation to this work, the focus will be on transfers that take place within the verbal domain, analyzing the data produced by subjects over two cycles of interviews, held several months apart.
